ESSIE Polish - Pear & Desire

Anyone who has read any of my posts over the last few weeks knows I have just discovered Fragrance Direct (AMAZING!) it’s quite famous for selling Essie polishes for super cheap prices, I picked this one up for £1.99.

This shade is such a lovely orange colour that will look great in the spring time, it’s very on trend at the moment, and we all know how great Essie polishes are. They go on super easy, the brushes are perfect and they dry really quickly, not evening mentioning how long lasting they are!

I love this colour, you can still pick them up at the super great price of only £1.99! Let me know if you have tried it and what you think...

One more Dainty Doll Review

Oooooh go on then, Ill show you one more piece of my Dainty Doll collection! This time its a gorgeous lipstick in shade 001. Like the other Dainty Doll products I recently bought, I got this little beauty from Fragrance Direct. I picked this up for a shocking £1.99... I just cant even believe how cheap this was, if you buy from Dainty Doll directly it will cost you £12.50, although Boots do currently have 1/3 off all Dainty Doll products at the moment!

The first thing I noticed about this lipstick is that's its really weighty, I feels luxurious and quality is high. It follows the same packaging as the other Dainty Doll products with a matte black outer case. The inside casing is a wonderful gold which is why I probably feel like this is a luxe product.

This colour isn't what I would normally go for, but I took a risk and I'm glad I did, Its a really deep red, very vampish! One of the things I really love about this product is how long lasting it is, even after a few drinks and something to eat it was still there, obviously faded a little but mainly all in tact.

I have already ordered more of these lipsticks, I think they are my new favourite lippies! I'm not sure if I would pay the full £12.50 for this product I'm sorry to say, as much as I love it, you can get other lipstick for less which are just as good, I do love the packaging though! Please let me know if you have tried this lipstick, I want to know if you love it too.

My acrylic make-up storage

Like a lot of beauty blogger, I have been desperate to get hold of some acrylic make-up storage, but the trouble I had was that its reeeeeaaally expensive!
I think acrylic storage looks so pretty, and a lot of bbloggers I follow have a fab little storage systems, and I  wanted to join the gang. So I started my search on good old eBay. I came across some units costing £140, way over my price range, and then I found a guy selling smaller units in the UK for around £30, I managed to get mine for an amazing £25. The persons eBay user name is - javad4217. I was really impressed with how helpful he was and how quick delivery was!

The actual storage is perfect, it comes in two parts, the top part which you can keep your brushes and bits in, and the bottom half which are the draws. You get two large draws and two smaller draws. I'm still figuring out what to put where and how to store my bits, but I just love it. Its a million times better than my old make-up bag!

I will post more photos when I have decided what to keep in it, but I think it will be my essentials I use every day. Please let me know what you think :)

Dainty Doll - Powder Blusher 002

Another Dainty Doll post for you here (expect a few, I made a BIG old order!) This time its the gorgeous power blush is shade 002 My Girl. You can pick this blusher up form Boots or directly from Dainty Doll for £9, not too bad for a big blusher, but I paid.... £2.99! that's right, I saved £6 from Fragrance Direct. Please please PLEASE check their website out, you can get some real bargains!

Onto the blusher, this is a gorgeous soft pink that blends really well. because of my pale skin tone I often go for soft pinks as darker blushers look awful on me, so this shade is just lovely on my skin. As I said it blends really well and doesn't slip.
As all Dainty Doll products, I love the packaging and it comes with a little mirror on the inside of the compact. It really lights my skin and defines my cheek bones well, I really cant recommend it enough. Its well pigmented so you don't need to press too hard which is also great as it will last for ever.

I am really pleased with this product, it seems Dainty Doll can do no wrong in my eyes! Thoughts please...

Dainty Doll - Concealer Pen 002

Anyone who had read my previous posts knows I am a big fan of the Dainty Doll range. With Nicola Roberts being my second favourite girls aloud (Kimberly is my first - love her!) I couldn't wait to get my hands on more of these products...

So I came across this amazing website, I can’t believe I haven't stumbled across it before - Fragrence Direct They sell massively discounted make-up and body care, please check it out. I have realised things sell out really quickly, so if you see something you want get it while stocks last! While I was on this website I realised they stocked the Dainty Doll range and it was SO BLUMMING CHEAP!!!

So I picked up this concealer pen for a crazy £2.99 - Boots stock this for £12.50, that's a saving of nearly £9! This pen is very similar to the YSL touche eclat, the packaging is matte black with the same clicker at the bottom. I'm a big fan of the Dainty Doll packaging, I like the cute little boxes and just cant throw them away.

The actual product is very good, I struggle to find concealer that matches my pale skin tone, and this matches perfect. I do find it takes quite a while to blend into my skin but once its blended it stays all day. I really noticed it brightened my eye area and got ride of dark circles.

Considering the price, the amazingly cute packaging and the staying power of the product, this was a really good buy. I'm so glad I purchased this product and certainly will again. however, I don't know if I would be as happy paying the £12.50 price tag considering the YSL touche eclat is only a little more, and I think is a lot more luxurious. Thoughts please?

NARS Blush - Sex Appeal

Like most beauty bloggers, NARS blushes are a staple in our make up bags, and the latest to my collection is the GORGEOUS Sex Appeal. I was recommended this by another bblogger and I certainly don't regret buying it.

Its a lovely peachy/pinky blush. NARS really is one of my favourite brands for blusher, they blend so well and don't slip at all. This colour is perfect for a more natural look, it really suits fair skin tones, so perfect for me! And we have the mention the packaging, clean, sleek and compact, nothing is fiddly about this packaging, I love the simple design.

This product retails at around £21 which I know seems steep for a blusher, but it really does last a long time, and I see it as a luxury product which I treat myself too :) you can see more information and buy this product from here

Soap & Glory - Thick and Fast

I have recently developed a little crush for Soap & Glory make-up. I was given a lot as presents for Christmas and I'm so glad I was! I recently reviewed the kohl eye liners and love them and now I have a new crush.

The Thick and Fast mascara, Its quite a popular mascara with beauty lovers and I have now been added to that list. This mascara is so thickening and makes my eye lashes look really full. My eye lashes are quite straight and mascara tends to make them heavy, therefore flattering them out. But this one seems to be really lights and keeps them curled for longer.

I also really love the brush, its designed so it doesn't clump when you pull it out the tube. The brush is lovely and thick and catches every eye lash. I was given black, but I am keen to try the brown as a more every day product. This product in Boots is £10, which I think is really super cheap for a fantastic mascara, I would happily pay double! To find out more click here and visit the website!

Do let me know if you have used this mascara and what you think!

Rimmel London - 206 Nude Pink

I have been looking for a nice nude lipstick for a while, and after trying the Kate Moss Matte nude (which I do like, but not LOVE!) I decided to give Rimmel another go. I am a big fan of Rimmel lippies, they are great value and great quality.

I picked out Nude Pink 206 in the lasting finish rage, which has a gorgeous shimmer to it. I find Rimmel lipsticks very moisturizing and not drying like some brands. I really like this colour and think its perfect for every day wear. It wouldn't necessarily be a colour I wear out at night as I like to wear something a little more bold.

The only little nag I have, which isn't Rimmels fault at all, but I have noticed that Boots sometimes puts sellotape round lipsticks so people don't use them, which is great BUT, it took me ages to get it off and where I was fiddly around with it in my hand, I had managed to twist the actual lipstick up making the lid all smudged in the lid - I know this probably doesn't make sense but it really annoyed me! - rant over!

What do you think? have you used it?

This is the result of the sellotape incident! Grrrrr

Dainty Doll - 002 Concealer

I am a huge fan of Nicola Roberts, she is almost my favorite Girls Aloud, after Kimberly! She is an inspiration for us paled skin beauties! I have been itching to try her products for a while, so when on a recent trip to Boots, I noticed they had an offer on, 1/3 off all Dainty Doll products. I had been looking for a good concealer for a while, so I thought this was a good opportunity to try this brand and hopefully find a fabulous concealer!

I love this packaging, I think its great, Its such a fun design and really eye catching. (Such a sucker for packaging!) the actual case for the product is a black plastic flip compact with a little mirror in the lid, very clean and sleek!

The product is fantastic, I'm so pleased I found this concealer, the colour matches my skin tone exactly, its light and creamy yet the coverage is spot on! Its enriched with vitamin E, antioxidants and anti inflammatory which helps calm and cover spots or blemishes.

Because the product is creamy its easy to blend, it stays place all day and doesn't slip at all. I really cant fault this product, I have been using it every day for about two weeks and its still working a treat. This concealer is normally £14.50 but I only paid £9.69 with the discount. You can still get this offer on all Dainty Doll products from Boots here

Pixi by Petra - Beauty Blush

I was in central London the other week and had some time to kill, so I hit Boots - obviously! I was browsing the beauty department and noticed that all Pixi products were half price? The stand had literally been raided (if anyone knows why Pixi was half prices and absolutely destroyed please let me know... its like they were being discontinued?!)

There were a few items left, mainly lip glosses and eye liners, and one little beauty blush! I had a quick swatch and what struck me was how soft and smooth the power was, so I decided to buy it and give it a go. The product is normally £12 but I only paid £6! how cheap is that!?

The packaging of this little beauty is gorgeous, it comes in a cute green box and the same green plastic packaging. I have been using this product for over a week now and I really like it, its easy to apply, blends really well and quite long lasting. Its a really soft texture which makes it really lovely to work with. The colour I went for was No1 Healthiest Honey. Whats also great about this colour is its perfect for contouring, especially if your not too confident with it.

I haven't really used many Pixi products before, this was a first for me, and I am really impressed with the quality of this product. I'm really keen to try out more from the brand! Please let me know if you have any recommendations for me, would love to know!
